Mock Tests

The Mock Test.

Will consist of a 90 minute session.

This include picking you up from a local destination.

We will give you a complete run down of what will happen from arrival to the test centre, right up to when the test finishes.

We will expect you to treat it as though it is your real test.
Therefore we will need to see your provision driving licence before the test starts, and also carry out a check that you can read a vehicle number plate at a distance of 20 metres.

If neither of these happen the test will be abandoned in the same manner a real driving test would not go ahead.

We will explain to you the process of how the driving test will be conducted, so you will know what to expect on the day.

You will then drive a real test route and at the end of the test be given a complete breakdown and feedback on any fault created and how you can look to improve on those skills.

You will also receive the test marking sheet.



Why are we offering these?

There are many occasions where some driving instructors feel it is not necessary to carry out mock tests. We disagree with this and feel it is a very good way to prepare you for the real thing, and we treat it just like the real thing!

It may also be that you've never had a driving instructor and have been taught to drive by a friend or Mum & Dad.

We really don't care who has taught you, our job during these sessions is to give you an unbiased professional feedback on your current abilities,
and advise you accordingly what you may need to change to achieve a successful outcome on the day of your real test.

Why is it 90 minutes.

It's 90 minutes because for us, it's about being able to have time to give real feedback about any faults, what caused them and what needs to change to avoid them happening again. So you are not only getting a Mock test, you're also getting professional feedback from a qualified driving instructor who will help you resolve some of your weaker areas. Obviously this is NOT a full on driving lesson, that is not their purpose.
On a real driving test the examiners only have the time to just mention what went wrong, they do not have the time to break it down for you in greater detail. And mainly that is because it's not their job to do this.

We can offer you two different types of Mock test.

Test 1. Pretty much identical to the real thing with the results being given at the end of the test followed by the feedback and breakdown,

Test 2. Pretty much identical to the real thing with one big change, and that change is that we will mention each and every fault the second that it happens.

It will be you choice as to what type of test you would prefer.

Q. Do I have to be one of your pupil to have a Mock Test with you?
A. No. We will carry out a Mock Test for anyone who holds a current provisional driving licence or to someone who may have held a full licence and has had it revoked and needs to take another test to regain their full licence and want to know what bad habits that they may need to rectify.

Q. Can I bring along Mum or DAD?
A. Yes, you can but they are not permitted to take part in the test whatsoever, in the exact same manner as a real test. They are welcome to ask questions at the beginning or end of the test.

Now the important part to this service that we offer.

We will treat this no differently to a real test. This means that should your standard of driving not be to a standard that keeps both us and other road users safe at all times, we WILL abandon the test, and the test fee will still be payable in full.

All mock test are paid for in advance and no refunds are offered for any reason. If you book the slot you pay for the slot, we DO NOT carry out our usual 48hour cancellation policy on these.
