Learn while you earn with an emphasis on LEARN.
The general purpose of a trainee licence (pink licence) is not to earn but to learn.
This option is purely for instructors who have already passed their Part 1 and Part 2 training and
are looking for a sponsor for their pink trainee licence
Legal and Regulatory Requirements for trainee instructors.
Supervision and Training Obligations:
While on a trainee licence, the trainee must receive mandatory ongoing support.
They typically choose between two options:
Option 1:
Your sponsoring ADI must supervise you for at least 20% of all lessons you give.
Option 2:
You must complete a minimum of 20 hours of additional training within the first three months of having your licence.
Prohibition of Independent Work:
You are not allowed to set up your own school or work independently while holding a trainee licence.
You may only give instruction from the training establishment listed on your licence.
Advertising Restrictions:
You cannot advertise yourself independently.
All bookings must come through your sponsoring school, and you must clearly identify yourself as a
"trainee driving instructor" rather than a fully qualified one.
Our role as the Sponsor.
Development and Feedback:
We ensure you receive standard tuition and guidance, providing expert feedback to refine your teaching techniques before your final Part 3 test.
Operational Support:
We supply and help manage your lesson diary app, provide paying pupils for experience within our capabilities.
Use our brand name and reputation.
Permit full use of our student training packs, and supply an instructor training manual.
Literature to assist with instruction and reference material to provide factual information.
Supply a top box for the roof of your vehicle.
And branded workwear.
We sign the DVSA form (ADI 3L MD) declaring that we will provide your training.
We also verify that you have completed the initial 40 hours of required training before your application is submitted.
Once you have completed the additional 20 hours of training we also sign this off with the DVSA.
A requirement of us becoming your sponsor is that you become a franchisee of the business.
The contract you sign will last for 12 months.
This is the timescale we feel is currently appropriate for training and tests to take place and to cover our costs for the training we are supplying along with other costs as mentioned above.
All DVSA tests and fees are payable by the trainee, our fees are purely for your training and items as mentioned above.
Should you wish to leave our sponsorship you will need to apply for a new trainee licence with the new school who have offered to become your sponsor.
Please be aware, if you request for us to become your sponsor the cost per week for this is £50 and is payable for the duration of the contract.
If paying for your sponsor is something you are not prepared to do and just want the training instead then
please look at our pay as you go training page
